Marisa Schwartz Taylor is The New York Times’ Washington bureau photo editor, covering government, policy, and their effects on the country.

She has worked extensively in West Africa and founded a documentary media company in Accra. Marisa previously worked as a photo editor at The Washington Post and TIME Magazine.

She lives in the Washington area with her daughter, Zara, and husband, Kevin.
