Emily Bogle

Emily Bogle is a photo editor at NPR in Washington, D.C., and manages the NPR Instagram account. She also art directs illustrations for NPR’s podcasts and stories.

At NPR, she was recently the photo editor and art director on a six-part investigative series focusing on sexual assault of people with intellectual disabilities. In 2017, Emily was the lead photo editor during Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. She coordinated staff and freelance photographers while producing, editing and writing photo stories.

Originally from New York State, Emily graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photojournalism.
