Big Stories With Small Teams

Give your video stories a big impact with a small crew – even if it’s just you. This session will be led by Corinne Chin, senior video journalist at The Seattle Times which won last year’s National Murrow Award for Overall Excellence with a team of just three full-time video staff.

We’ll break down the video storytelling process from start to finish: from diverse story selection, inclusive framing and the art of the interview to file structure and Premiere workflow. And we’ll watch plenty of inspiration, including Under Our Skin – an interactive documentary exploring race – and short films from the Beyond the Border series on migration and deportation. Bring your questions (and rough cuts!) and choose your own adventure in this interactive workshop.
