Ben Brody

Ben Brody is a photographer and author working on long-form projects related to the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and their aftermath. Themes of generational trauma, propaganda, and tragic comedy recur in his visual approach. His new photobook, Attention Servicemember, was shortlisted for the Aperture/Paris Photo First Book Award.  Ben works closely with Boston nonprofits The GroundTruth Project and Report For America, supporting early-career journalists and rural newsrooms across the country.  He may be America’s only Iraq veteran to squander his GI Bill on an MFA in photography.
