The Northern Short Course Photo and Multimedia Contest is held each year in conjunction with the Northern Short Course. Deadline to enter was Friday, Jan. 15, 2016. Judging for the 2016 contest will take place at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, Jan. 29-30, 2016. Read about our judges here.
Save the date for the Contest awards reception, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, Iselin, NJ, at the conclusion of the NSC conference.
The NSC Student Photographer of the Year will win a plaque and a Think Tank CityWalker 10.
A Best of Show winner will be selected from the first place winners in each category and receive a plaque and a Think Tank CityWalker 30.
NSC plaques will be awarded for first place in each category. In addition, first place still category winners will receive a Think Tank Suburban Disguise 10. First place multimedia category winners receive a Think Tank Suburban Disuise 30. Certificates will be awarded for second and third place in each category.
A plaque is awarded by Nikon to the newspaper or organization with the most points compiled from first, second and third place awards in individual and team categories.
Entry is limited to National Press Photographers Assn. members in the New England, New York/International and Mid-Atlantic Regions (formerly Regions 1, 2, and 3).
Deadline for entries was January 15, 2016 at 4 p.m.
